Joseph Cunningham is a Field Agent with the Sandoval Agency for the Knights of Columbus in San Diego and South Riverside County.  He provides assistance for the Councils that serve Saint Martha Catholic Church in Murrieta, Holy Martyrs Catholic Church in Murrieta, Mission San Antonio in Pala,  Saint Teresa of Calcutta in Winchester, St Mary's Catholic Church in Escondido, Saint Vincent Ferrer in Sun City, Saint Catherine's in Temecula, and Saint Margaret's Catholic Church in Oceanside. 

Joseph earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts, majoring in Philosophy and Theology from Thomas Aquinas College.  He went on to earn his Master's degree in Sacred Theology from the International Theological Institute, a Pontifical University in Austria.  Prior to becoming a field agent, Joseph enjoyed a long career in Philosophy and Theology, serving as a missionary to the Archdiocese of Samoa, a Coordinator of Youth Ministry for Saint Mark's in San Marcos, a Theology teacher for the San Diego Diocesan Diaconate Formation program, and a Theology/Philosophy teacher for an all boys Catholic high school in Encino, Ca.  


Joseph decided to become a Field Agent with the Knights of Columbus in 2017 when he discerned God calling him to serve the Church in a new way.  Joseph says, "It is an honor for me to be in a position to serve my brother Knights and their families as we continue to advance the mission of our Venerable Founder, Father Michael J. McGivney.  I hope to achieve the best for my members by helping them to grow in their love for the Catholic Church and by thoroughly educating them regarding our top rated insurance programs so that they will be able to discern what is best for themselves and for their families."

Joseph has been married to his beautiful wife Danniel for 10 years.  He loves spending time with her and their five children: Philomena, Gemma, Joseph, Perpetua, and John Baptiste.  They are parishioners of St. Anne's in San Diego, California
